Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for children and instill a great love of dance, while inspiring self confidence, discipline, and respect of the performing arts.
Lauren graduated from Salem State University with a bachelor's degree in Education and a Minor in Dance. She also holds a Master's Degree in Education and Special Education from Cambridge College.
Beginning at a young age, Lauren has been able to train in all genres with copious dance studios and schools. These studios include Chelsea Dance Studio, Virginia Williams Dance Studio, Dance Center of Malden, Northeast Youth Ballet (formally Sandra Marie’s School of Ballet), The New York City Ballet, The Boston Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Boston. She also had the opportunity to perform professionally in multiple productions at The Emerson Theatre and The Boch Theatre.
Lauren's love for performing led her to teaching and she worked as a dance teacher at Salem State for many years. Most recently, Lauren taught in the North Shore area for five years. Aside from her extensive dance background, she has great experience working with children through her work as a special education teacher and an ABA therapist. Lauren has worked as the Program Director for Family Networks at the Lynn DCF office in Lynn, MA.
Lauren loves to bring the wonderful art of dance to the children in a positive and nurturing environment where each child will be encouraged to be the best they can be regardless as to whether they aspire to be a professional dancer or just enjoy learning to dance.
When Lauren’s time in not occupied in teaching, she is spending time with her two daughters, her husband and her dog Ralph. As always she looks forward to bringing her experience and passion for dance into her classes.
