Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment for children and instill a great love of dance, while inspiring self confidence, discipline, and respect of the performing arts.
Lauren graduated from Salem State University with a bachelor's degree in education and a Minor in Dance. She also holds a master's degree in education and special education from Cambridge College.
Beginning at a young age, Lauren has been able to train in all genres with copious dance studios and schools. These studios include Chelsea Dance Studio, Virginia Williams Dance Studio, Dance Center of Malden, Northeast Youth Ballet (formally Sandra Marie’s School of Ballet), The New York City Ballet, The Boston Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Boston. She also had the opportunity to perform professionally in multiple productions at The Emerson Theatre and The Boch Theatre.
Lauren's love for performing led her to teaching and she worked as a dance teacher at Salem State for many years. Most recently, Lauren taught in the North Shore area for five years. Aside from her extensive dance background, she has great experience working with children through her work as a special education teacher and an ABA therapist. Lauren has worked as the Program Director for Family Networks at the Lynn DCF office in Lynn, MA.
Lauren loves to bring the wonderful art of dance to the children in a positive and nurturing environment where each child will be encouraged to be the best they can be regardless as to whether they aspire to be a professional dancer or just enjoy learning to dance.
When Lauren’s time in not occupied in teaching, she is spending time with her two daughters, her husband and her dog Ralph. As always, she looks forward to bringing her experience and passion for dance into her classes.
Allison has been a dancer her whole life, starting at four years old. She began with Ballet and Tap, and the following year added Jazz and Acro. Allison trained in additional styles over the years such as, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern and she also had the opportunity to learn some African dance for a semester in college. Allison started competing in dance competitions at the age of six. Winning first place and various awards for groups, solos, duos and trios! She competed consistently for 12 years up until she graduated high school.
She took her passion and love for dance into college where she attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy spending two years in New York and two years in Los Angeles. While she expanded her knowledge and training in dance, she also had the opportunity to train in acting and singing classes. She graduated in June 2024 with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance.
Allison has had the opportunity to perform in Disney’s Magic Kingdom with her home studio in 2010 and 2015. She has also performed in the Melrose Youth Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker for six years. Playing various roles such as, Gumdrop, Spanish Lady, Waltz of the Flowers and Snowflakes! In 2023, Allison had an amazing opportunity to perform as a Ballet dancer in a BuzzFeed produced video titled “6 Dancers 1 Beat” that can be found on their YouTube shorts and Instagram reels!
When Allison is not dancing or teaching, she loves spending time with her boyfriend, friends and family. She loves to be outside, going for a run, riding a bike, swimming, ice skating, kayaking or paddle boarding, she’ll do it all! Allison also never misses a chance to relax, playing Hogwarts Legacy on her PlayStation.
Allison loves to teach dance for many reasons with her main goal being to pass on her love, passion and dedication for dance onto the next generation of kids. “Dance has done so much for my confidence, self-esteem, creativity and my freedom of expression as an artist and individual. I express myself through dance, I’m my most authentic self when I dance and it’s the most rewarding feeling in the world. I want every child to experience the magic and joy that I feel when dancing and that’s why I love to teach.”
